Boek dit niet tenzij je een opgelicht wilt worden!
Wij hadden geboekt voor een body- en mind programma bij de eco lodge (verblijf in een lodge, ontbijt en diner en een yoga, mindfullness en wandelingen programma). Nadat wij 10 min te laat waren voor het ontbijt om 8 uur s ochtends, was de sfeer verknald. Ondanks onze excuses kwam het niet meer goed. Wij waren totaal verbluft over haar gedrag en acties (schreeuwend en tierend stond zij voor ons). We kregen geen eten meer en mochten niet meer meedoen aan het programma. We mochten blij zijn dat we nog in de lodge mochten verblijven. Ons voorstel om hier samen uit te komen werd meerdere malen van tafel geveegd. Wij hebben geen cent terug gekregen ondanks dat zij volledig in gebreke was. De organisatie staat niet ingeschreven bij de Nederlandse of Italiaanse Kamer van Koophandel en de betaling vindt plaats op een particuliere bankrekening van de gastvrouw. Wees gewaarschuwd, boek hier niet!!!

AVOID! Not mainstream yoga, rude teacher, frugal food, exposed/windy location, overpriced.

NOTE - I actually stayed here in May 19 (unlike the looks of the other reviews).

YOGA - This is not mainstream yoga. Virtually all of it was about breathing and hardly any was standard yoga positions. Given this was advertised as a beginner's course this should have been made explicitly clear.

WIND - When I booked the retreat I made it very clear to Monique that I suffer from CFS (or “ME”) and that I get very cold. She assured me it would be fine. There was a really strong wind for 6 out of the 7 days we were there. Monique kept saying it was unusual but you could see from the way the trees grew (i.e. horizontally not vertically) that it was not.

BEING SHOUTED AT - Breakfast was outside and I got very cold on the first morning due to the wind. I told Monique I was feeling very cold and she replied that everything was optional. Ten minutes later I went to stand under the tree because I was so cold and just could not stand in the wind. This caused Monique to come and shout at me that she couldn't work with me and that it was my fault I was ill! Unbelievable! Anything but relaxing!

TENT - The tent was reasonably well equipped but could do with better lighting, more sockets and Wi-Fi. The hot water in the shower lasted literally for a minute or two. Sinks cold water only.

FOOD - On the first evening I was stunned when Monique said we couldn't have our main course unless we finished our starter! I felt like I was back at school! The food generally was tasty and well-cooked but frugal. Many of the meals were pasta & vegetarian based. There was hardly any meat or fish. In one meal, for example, the only fish or meat I had was literally a slither of swordfish!

Ik ben al drie keer op Sardinië geweest en ga dit jaar weer. Het is een kado voor jezelf. In die drie keer dat ik geweest ben, kom ik echt tot rust en ga dan ook relaxed weer naar huis. Monique geeft tips mee om thuis ook aan de gang te gaan. Ze maakt soms heel veel los bij je en daar ben ik altijd blij mee omdat je dan aan de gang kan met jezelf en dat is niet altijd even leuk maar wel een eyecatcher vooe jezelf. Monique is een goede en lieve begeleidster. Dus met die eyecatcher komt het dan ook weer goed. Het is echt back to basic bij Monique en Toni het is heerlijk toeven daar. Lekker eustig en wen mooi uitzicht. En dan niet te vergeten de fantastische maaltijden van haar man Toni. Alles puur, vers en heerlijke wijn. Lieve Monique en Toni ik zie jullie in het najaar weer. Tot dan.

We really enjoyd our stay at the eco lounge! It’s a beautifull place with natural surroundings which is very quiet, peacefull and private. We did not book our stay, but we called half an our before we got there. The quick and direct service we got from Monique and Tony was super! The view from the safari tent is very beautiful and you can watch the sunset while taking a shower outside. There are many activities to attend to nearby like beaches, bars & restaurants and watersports. We had a very comfortable stay and we have enjoyed the kindness and helpfullness of Tony and Monique. We would recommend this place to people who love to be outside and appreciate nature and quietness.
